Evaluation of the Anthropology Internship

  • Interns are expected to work closely with their on-site supervisor and other organizational personnel.
  • Since internship credit is variable, ranging from one to six credits, the amount of time spent interning varies. Generally, three hours of internship per week are required for one hour of academic credit; a typical three credit internship requires nine hours of internship placement per week or 120 hours per semester.
  • You are evaluated by two people:
    • your on-site supervisor and
    • by an anthropology professor who coordinates your internship with the intern and the on-site supervisor.
  • Your grade is based on a combination of on-site supervisor's evaluation and the evaluation made by the anthropology professor supervising your placement.
